      5:50 – 6:05 Review Institute Strategic Plan/ Mission Statements (Handout)

        • Institute Strategic Plan – Version 1.0 First Draft for Member Review; May 2009
        • Institute Mission Statement: CSI Mission: To advance construction documentation and educate building teams to improve project performance
          • The change Mission Statement received much discussion without a full understanding as to reason from the Institute. Recommendation was made that the Board should respond to the Institute about this change.
          • Chapter Mission Statement: To Become the Resource for Construction Information in the State of New Mexico (?)
          • The amount of Chapter members certifications is a concern. (CDTs)

      6:05 – 7:15 Brainstorming (6:05 – 7:15)

      Established ground rules were agreed upon. 
      The purpose of a brainstorming meeting is to produce new ideas about a specific topic.  No idea is ruled out or thought to be too wild.  All ideas or comments are recorded and given equal consideration.  No comments on ideas – wait until discussion period.
